I like to sleep under the open sky and unfortunately still do not have a bivouac sack, which I'm satisfied, I'll try again ... This time was
a converted DriDucks Poncho hesitation as Bivy in Quilt Style!
If you do not want to use the bivy as a cape is, first of all sewn up the hood. This is the poncho designed and sealed the head opening and disconnected. The bag can also be cut away when not in use.
This is then sutured and the hood is removed.
now come off the buttons. I have sheared off with pliers. But one can also drill into or completely different ...
is then the Poncho the length folded. The end seams are overlapped slightly and then sewn up to almost half from the bottom.
is then still at the point at which opens later Bivy (like a quilt), stitched reinforcing.
And a thin band is sewn. This will later result in the Bivi reserves the right position, because the mattress is pushed into the bivouac sack. If a short sleeping pad is used, the tape will do the job.
Since we're almost done! The Bivouac sack is now turned to the left and the foot end is sutured. The curves at the corners are transmitted with a cover (for example) and chalk on the fabric. Then sew and cut off excess material.
And already, the bivy sack in the KISS principle ready!
In the upper part of the bivy / poncho is laid over it easily. When not working or is a holder to the mat. Towards the ground I've always always been a ground sheet. For the head area, you can just take his rain jacket, or you take the hood that one has just cut away ;-)
A nice project. Simple, fast, and hopefully good ...
from a poncho is thus a bag (11gr), a hood (26gr) and a bivouac sack (213gr).
The whole is now being tested only once and then I'll give modest as he is!
Pfiads verifiable!
(For those who understand's net with a link :-))
