Whre Can I Buy Tradional Iranian Wedding Dress

Golite Shangri La 1 Shangri and La 2

- COMPARISON OF

As my tour to Norway, Jotunheim starts soon, it is important to choose a tent. Since this was not my own choice for the windy mountains enough, I came from Carsten Fastpacking to help. He lent me to choose the two Shangri La's. The 1 Series, he was allowed to test it on his course for ultralight hiking , with his colleagues, in the Alps.

As I advance could not decide which I wanted to take, both came to my place yesterday and were sometimes built up to the sample. The decision criterion, which is why I had drawn the two short-listed, was that they could have concluded around and can attack as the wind less.

2-right, left 1er

What comes in addition to the two different models, that they come from different production lines. The 1 Series was produced with the new Silikon-/PU- coated material in which the seams are already taped. The 2 still is in Silnylon with unsealed seams.

But this is the first impression:

distinguished from the pack size, they are not much: 1st left with the new material. The only difference is
-erweißt for me something negative that the "rod material" for the fans, the new line, is slightly less flexible. This may possibly positive impact on the stability of the fan, but not packing. This result forced a minimum length of about 35cm!

weights:

Shangri La 1 Pu / Si: 442gr
- Pack sack: 23gr

Shangri La 2 Silnylon: 598gr
- Pack sack: 14gr

Shangri La 1

burn-SP-6 herring:

with 8 pegs (unfortunately, the exposure is different ...):

and back:

What I noticed while building the same (I knew PRIOR not exactly how it should look) that it is not just quick and easy goes. each other through the six-sided base, with different angles, you have to put the tent during construction often here and there to fit. Really pleased I was not quite, but it was the end.
To place I used my trekking poles. The altitude is given as 114cm in the head and 69cm in the foot. If you do not have poles of this length, it gets a little harder ...

As a one-man Shelter it is quite roomy and long. There is enough space to stow his luggage. Between the sticks is specified as a length approximately 2.13m, although this is slightly variable (see picture above). The level is somewhat low. Here one must be careful in the morning, already, that you can not wet Walls affected. The cook in the shelter could also make a little awkward.

The zipper at the entrance is a bit fiddly. Since it forms the arched entrance at the upper end of the thriller is something bad and you have to work sometimes with both hands.

Here you see beautiful, taped seams and the zipper.

With two hands have to work even when the thriller again in one of the two sides jammed, or, as here the same on both sides! Annoying when something like this Sitting in the rain in the tent and the entrance to get non!

The left side of the zipper to protect against water penetration, this was the old model but a better solution. Description below.
At the end of the zipper and there are certainly a push button for. But this is an awkward job when you is already there.

On the picture you can see the tension points, which you can tighten or change the altitude. This detail is identical at both shelters.

The fan on the 1 Series are asymmetrically attached to the Shelter. They are from about a hand width from the outer wall and are equipped with a Mosquito net provided.

Shangri La 2:

exhaustion with 6 pegs:

The construction here has made super easy. Four pegs in the square exhausted, zipper, Trekkingsöcke up in, that's it. Zack, Bumm! :-O option, again
eight pegs attached, plus two tie-lines at the tips. I have attached here another two in the sides. It is really stable. A shake the First, it has little impressed. In contrast to the low 1er! Again
be trekking poles required. Here you can also take folding canes. The amount is in there with 122cm.

The two-man Shelter also offers a nice size with good length. Here one should also be able to cook well.

The fans here have a half hand width:

Here one can see that the arc was formed in the fan with another linkage. Does not look quite as clean, but is flexible when packing.

With the old version (I am working on the assumption that it is because, without guarantee!) Was Gurtbandverarbeitet at the "water barrier" that prevents jamming.

something, which I will not be as quite understand, is the detail at the entrance:

The Lower zip with the "band" of which seems to me simply unnecessary. You could omit the complete and only the possible rigging of the page which can come forward (lightning closure o, etc.) So once more weight could be saved by snow and I imagine it also not as convenient ... So I want to see the Golite-
different :-) (And the mesh pockets on the sides needs no man. If that inner tent hangs in there, eh ... If no one moves on, then prefer one direction input)

So, by and large it was that, on my part with the first impressions. If you want to know something-I still have it at home! And another concern: As I enter just the first in the world of product presenter / tester, it would be nice if I could get some feedback, what you desire, etc.

Conclusion: They are both very nice tents, they meticulously crafted and well, said the 2 has clearly won with me. This is also the reason why I will take it with in the Jotunheim! It makes a really strong impression is super fast and easy to assemble and it has no place Where the end-it almost too much to one Gatewood cape is used to it :-).
However, I found the new material from the 1 Series are mainly the sympathetic-taped seams very nice!
If it's still good in NO suggests, could it happen that I did the 2 for 150 € (both cost the same shelter), even down ...

very best regards,
your Knilch
